A detailed look at our home loan process
  1. It all starts with a FREE consultation

You can choose the time or place you want us to meet you and we will be there. We will sit with you to evaluate your situation, your budget, your goals and objectives and understand what you expect.
We will then come back and present a variety of home loans from different lenders. We will do an in-depth comparison of the loans and recommend the ones most suited to you. Once you decide upon a lender and the loan, then the loan application process will begin and the home loan application form of your chosen lender will be filled out.

  2. Filling up the home loan application form (24-48 hours)

Your application form is submitted to the lending institution where it is processed and submitted to the bank. Within 24 hours usually we receive confirmation that the application has been received and assessment is being carried out. The office staff handling the application will then call us and you will get notification from us about the status and the ensuing steps.

  3. Getting Conditional Approval (2-5 hours)

  4. Formal Approval (3-6 days)

After the bank is in possession of the valuation and other requirements have been met, the bank will formally approve your loan and inform the real estate and settlement agents of this. The lender will then prepare all the mortgage related documents. We will apprise you of the formal approval of the loan.

  5. Putting together the Mortgage Documents (8-10 days)

The bank will get in touch with their solicitors to draw up the mortgage documents. The bank’s solicitors will now prepare your mortgage documents and forward them to you. When you sign the documents and return them to the bank and everything is deemed satisfactory, a settlement date will be scheduled.

  6. Loan Settlement (4-11 days)

After the documents have been returned, the bank’s solicitors will call for a settlement date where everybody involved will meet to achieve settlement.

  7. Celebrate-the loan is yours!

After settlement of the loan Loans Direct will be informed and we will immediately apprise you of the same. We will send a formal letter to you outlining the settlement of the loan and that your mortgage documents have been returned. But remember our service does not stop here. You can call on us at any time to answer queries and we will always be on tap to help in management of your personal finances.
